"My interest in this album began one summer night several years ago when four friends gathered in our back yard for an impromptu concert. My wife, Diana, has one of the most experienced bluegrass ears I know of, and I am one of the Dillards. Our guests needed an opinion. They didn't have a name, but they had something more important - then enthusiasm that turns individual musicians into a unit.

Jane Accurso is a woman whose voice was so striking and her feelings for a song so deep that she might have written every song they played that night. It became the lead instrument and then IRONWEED wove a clever band around it."...Mitch Jayne
